A Royal Makeover

Local children have the opportunity to give Lakenheath Library a Diamond Jubilee makeover in the coming weeks as the library’s regular Sunday Arts & Crafts sessions take on a royal theme in the lead up to the Queen’s 60th Anniversary celebration.

On Sunday 20th, 27th May and 3rd June attendees will be tasked with designing regally appropriate posters, flags and bunting to decorate the library in time for the Bank Holiday weekend. What’s more, admission to these three special sessions is completely free of charge – just turn up on the day ready to get creative!

This is the first major event since F.O.L.K.’s inception and the group really hopes the sessions are a huge success and go some way to helping increase footfall through the library’s door. All materials for these sessions have been generously donated by the Lakenheath Jubilee Committee, with particular thanks to ‘Friend’ Sheila Smith.
