Writer in the Library – Author Visit Announced!

Alison BruceIt is with great pleasure that the Friends of Lakenheath Library can today announce a very special event taking place at Lakenheath Library next month: On Thursday 7th March from 5-7pm, local crime author of the DC Goodhew detective series, Alison Bruce, will be holding an insightful talk on her writing inspirations, a question and answer session with fans and signing copies of her novels, including Cambridge Blue, The Siren, The Calling and The Silence.

This is a free-to-attend event which we hope will attract a lot of local interest from creative writers and fans of crime fiction alike. Copies of Alison’s books will be available to buy from the author on the night, and the library will also be well-stocked with copies for inspired members to loan out, too.

With thanks to F.O.L.K. volunteer Anne Cross for arranging this exciting booking, which has been set up to coincide with the nomination process for the Crime Writer’s Association Dagger in the Library Awards 2013; the only award that is nominated exclusively by library users, readers and librarians. For more information on the award and how to nominate, please visit http://www.thecwa.co.uk/daggers/library/index.html.
