iPads now available to Loan

Lakenheath Library saw a fantastic turn out to their “Get Connected” iPad Launch event this past Saturday with nearly 50 customers attending the two hour session, either interested in being added to the waiting list to try out our newly-purchased Apple tablets, or to receive one-to-one tech advise from a member of the Hughes Electrical team.

Pictured above are Cllr Colin Noble, who helped guarantee the funding for the project, Lakenheath Library manager Chris Howard and David Thomas from the Hughes team.

It’s not too late to be added to the waiting list – this exciting and innovative initiative is ongoing! So if you are considering purchasing a tablet but wish to try before you buy, why not pop in to Lakenheath Library to book yourself a place in the queue? It’s completely FREE.

Get Connected at iPad Launch Event this February!

ipadOn Saturday 4th February from 10:30am-12:30pm you are invited to a special GET CONNECTED event at Lakenheath Library which coincides with the launch of our iPad lending scheme.

Thanks to some generous funding from West Suffolk District Council, from 4th February you will have the opportunity to loan out one of two new iPad Minis from Lakenheath Library! Like our physical books they will be completely FREE (provided you return them before the due date!) and you will get to keep them for up to 3 weeks.

For one morning our community group volunteers and library staff will be joined by tech engineers from Hughes Electrical who will be on-hand to lend tuition and training on all manner of electrical goods.

So whether you are interested in joining the waiting list to loan out an iPad mini, or just have a question about how to use the tablet, laptop or smartphone you received for Christmas, why not pop along to Lakenheath Library on Saturday 4th February for this fantastic free event? Refreshments provided.

Pop in to speak to our members of staff, phone them on 01842 860723 or check this blog for all our future event details.
